Well I would love to be able to raise enough to fund the registry administrations costs for 1 year, so each donation of $30 would fund medical data entry for 1 hour, $100 would fund 1 hour of legal ethics administration.
But even $1 will make a difference for all families dealing with Hydrocephalus in Australia.
This is why you should donate…
MAKE LIFE A LITTLE EASIER FOR SOMEONE ELSE
Shunts systems are used very successfully in the treatment of hydrocephalus however complications can be common which often require repeat surgery. Ultimately the goal is to improve the quality of life for people living with hydrocephalus and we believe the Registry is an important initiative in achieving this.
ONE LESS OPERATION IN A PERSON’S LIFE
The implementation of the Australian Shunt Registry will have real effects for those living with hydrocephalus, in terms of the potential of fewer surgeries, reduced chance of shunt malfunction and better long term health benefits.
THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY TO SAVE MONEY!
We need to bring this issue to the government’s attention and highlight the enormous positive long-term effects this will have on so many Australians as well as the financial benefits for the Australian Health system and benefits for Hydrocephalus research.
